World Water Day
WORLD WATER DAY – an initiative that began in 1992 at the UN Conference on Environment and Development in Rio de Janeiro (22-nd of March)
1. Photo galleries with the image of water – rivers, water cascades, lakes, dams, mills and so on
2. T-shirts and buttons with the water symbol on them (World Water Day’s main symbol is the shape of a water drop in the United Nations’colour blue)
3. Art exhibition of paintings, souvenirs and so on (main topic – water)
4. Special column under the heading ‘Do you know that…’with data and facts about water and disasters, water for life, sanitation, urban water systems, water energy
5. A list of fairy tales with the wonders of the ‘magic water’ and students’ illustrations on them
6. A list of videos on You tube on the topic:World Water Crisis, Earth in Crisis, Blue Gold, The Devastating Truth About Water, Global Water Problems and so on
7. Educational events on the importance of clean water and protecting water resources
8. Excursions to local rivers, lakes and reservoirs
9. Walks, runs, swimming and other sports competitions
10.Broadcasts on You tube, radio
11.Members of UN-World Water Day on Facebook to share opinions
and acquire knowledge
12. Presentations on the importance of water and the problem connected to it
13. International correspondence for exchange of information about water
